The Virtue of Neighbors in Islam
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: ˝Harming one˝s neighbor erases good deeds just as the sun erases ice.˝ This was narrated by Al-Khulai in Al-Fawa˝id.
From this noble Hadith, we derive a great Islamic moral principle that originated from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, in Islam. He elevated his honorable nation and emphasized the importance of showing kindness to neighbors, whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims. The term ˝neighbor˝ mentioned in the Hadith is a general term that includes both Muslims and non-Muslims.
Therefore, based on the teachings of the Prophet, peace be upon him, it is an Islamic ruling that treating one˝s neighbor with kindness is obligatory or highly recommended. It is incumbent upon you to refrain from causing harm to them, and it is commendable for you to honor them. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: ˝By Allah, he does not believe! By Allah, he does not believe! By Allah, he does not believe!˝ Someone asked, ˝Who, O Messenger of Allah?˝ He replied, ˝The one whose neighbor is not safe from his harm.˝ In another Hadith, it is narrated: ˝Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his neighbor.˝
We find the basis of these noble Muhammadan ethics in the Noble Qur˝an, such as Allah˝s saying: ˝And worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and be good to parents and relatives and orphans and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah. And the neighbor who is near of kin and the neighbor who is a stranger and the companion by your side.˝ The boundaries of neighbors include forty houses in all directions surrounding your own house, and this is what Muslims have recognized since the early centuries of Islam.
Finally, we thank and praise Allah for the blessing of Islam and for the guidance and teachings of our noble Prophet, and for his family and companions until the Day of Judgment.

Muslims believe in the existence of one God who has no beginning or end, and who neither begets nor is begotten, nor does He have a spouse. He is the creator of everything and the sustainer of His creation. He has beautiful names and sublime attributes, which He has described Himself with in the Holy Quran and through the teachings of His trustworthy Prophet. He is characterized by excellence, perfection, and majesty, free from any flaws or imperfections. Therefore, it is not permissible to worship anyone alongside Him in the belief of Muslims. This sin is called ˝shirk˝ in Islam, which means associating partners with Allah and worshiping others besides Him.
The Oneness of Allah is considered the greatest principle in Islam, as it is the right of Allah upon His servants. It is the first principle among the six articles of faith. The Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him, said, ˝Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Day of Judgment, and to believe in the divine decree, both the good and the evil thereof.˝ A person is not considered a Muslim in the Islamic religion until they testify, ˝There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.˝ In bearing witness to the statement ˝There is no god but Allah,˝ one acknowledges and affirms the existence of one God who alone deserves to be worshiped. It should be noted that Muslims do not recognize someone as a Muslim unless they believe in and affirm the Oneness of Allah. They believe that whoever dies while associating partners with Allah will be deprived of paradise and will abide in the Hellfire.

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
I received a question from a Portuguese Christian woman who asked: ˝If it is predetermined for a person to disobey Allah or to enter hell, why would he be punished for something that was predetermined for him?˝
In response, I would like to say that this question and this confusion arises for many people due to their lack of differentiation between predestination and coercion to perform an action. Allah, the Most High, knows the unseen, that is, what will happen in the future. Some people will disbelieve in Him and disobey His messengers by their own will and choice. Allah wrote this in the Preserved Tablet before He created the heavens and the earth, fifty thousand years before that, as mentioned in the authentic hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr.
This predestined fate in the Preserved Tablet does not mean that Allah forced them to do so. Rather, the reality is that He knew that they would disbelieve, so He wrote that in the Preserved Tablet before creating the universe. Let me give you a real example to understand this better: We have a teacher who has a lot of experience with his students, and before the exam, he writes on a student˝s paper that he will fail the exam based on his performance in the classroom. In the exam, the student really fails. Does this mean that the teacher forced him to fail the exam? The answer is no.
Therefore, everyone bears responsibility for their own choices between good and evil, truth and falsehood, disbelief and faith, obedience and disobedience to Allah. Whoever chooses a path must bear responsibility for it on the Day of Judgment. As for the second part of the question, Allah made this world a test for human beings and a proof against them. One of His names is the Just, and therefore, He cannot punish a person in hellfire until He has made the truth clear to him through His prophets, their followers, and His heavenly books.
If a person commits injustice, disbelief, or sin while using his full mental powers, then when he enters the hellfire, he will be punished with a clear argument that does not contain the slightest hint of injustice. However, as for the matters that a person is forced to do in this world, they are few and have no relation to disbelief, faith, obedience, disobedience, justice, or injustice. They are just natural things like the country a person is born in, his language, color, date of birth, and death. Generally, matters that are not accountable on the Day of Judgment are not subject to punishment, such as a person˝s country, date of birth, or color.
May Allah bless and grant peace upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
No exame, o aluno realmente fracassa.

The Messiah in Islam.
Mr. Jesus (peace be upon him), also known as the Messiah in Islamic texts, is considered one of the great prophets and messengers sent by God. It is believed in Islam that Mr. Jesus is the son of Mary (peace be upon them), who was born through a miraculous birth without a human father.
Islamic stories about Mr. Jesus (peace be upon him) include many miracles attributed to him, including creating birds from clay, raising the dead with God˝s permission, restoring sight to the blind, and curing lepers by God˝s will. Muslims believe that Mr. Jesus was a messenger sent by God to humanity, to deliver the divine message and invite people to the oneness of God and obedience to Him.
One of the Islamic beliefs is that Mr. Jesus (peace be upon him) was not crucified as believed in Christianity, but he was raised to the heavens by God before he was killed, which is known as the ˝Ascension˝ in Islam. Muslims also believe that Mr. Jesus will return in the end times as a caliph of the Prophet Muhammad, ruling among people with the Quran and the teachings of the best of messengers, to establish justice and peace in the world.

˝Ten Commandments for Self-Purification˝ (Written by Khawdim Din Rabbih Abi al-Hasan Hisham al-Mahjubi al-Marrakeshi)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon the Master of all worlds, and upon his family and companions, all of them. And now:
Know that the knowledge of self-purification is a practical science that is essential for every Muslim. It is dedicated to purifying the soul and heart from diseases and vices that prevent one from attaining closeness to Allah and reaching the highest ranks with Him. Allah, the Exalted, says, ˝Indeed successful is the one who purifies it (the soul), and indeed failure is the one who corrupts it.˝ He also says, ˝Do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected - the Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children, but only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.˝ This is achieved through the practical application of the verses of the Noble Qur˝an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. I have selected ten important commandments based on my contemplation of the meanings of Allah˝s Book, the Sunnah of His Messenger, the wisdom of our scholars, and the signs of our Lord in His creation. I ask Allah that their benefit reaches every Muslim who desires to rectify their own state and that of others.
First Commandment: It is incumbent upon the Muslim to rectify their intention before every word or action and to observe it during that time. Their intention should seek the pleasure of Allah, His reward, and His recompense. Allah, the Exalted, says, ˝And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.˝ The Messenger of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him, said, ˝Actions are judged by their intentions, and everyone will have what they intended. So whoever migrates to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is for Allah and His Messenger. And whoever migrates for worldly gain or to marry a woman, his migration is for what he migrated for.˝
Second Commandment: The seeker of knowledge should strike a balance between the sciences of the external knowledge and the science of self-purification. If they neglect the latter, their heart will harden, and they will be afflicted with arrogance, pride, envy, love of leadership, and seeking fame. The sciences of the external knowledge are meant to correct the understanding of the religion, while the science of self-purification is meant to rectify the relationship between the servant and their Lord.
Third Commandment: The Muslim should constantly turn their heart to their Lord, relying on Him alone and not looking at the creation except through the window of obedience to their Lord. They should interact with the creation in a manner that pleases their Lord.
Fourth Commandment: The Muslim should constantly prioritize the Hereafter and belittle the worldly life. They should desire it only for the sake of pleasing their beloved, glorified is He. The Messenger of Allah, may peace be upon him, said, ˝Be indifferent to the worldly life, and Allah will love you.˝
Fifth Commandment: The Muslim should occupy most of their time with remembrance of Allah and vary their acts of obedience so as not to become bored. They should spend their day strolling among the flowers and roses of obedience.
Sixth Commandment: The Muslim should have a private moment with their Lord every day. They should remember Him, supplicate to Him, reflect upon their conditions, sins, and shortcomings, and seek the healing remedy for themselves. Let that private moment be the happiest time of their day.
Seventh Commandment: The Muslim should be generous, noble, serving, beneficial, and well-mannered towards others. Allah, the Exalted, says, ˝Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.˝
Eighth Commandment: The Muslim should be steadfast in worship, constant in seeking knowledge, and persistent in acts of obedience. They should seek to purify their heart from arrogance, envy, hatred, and other vices. They should strive to adorn their character with virtuous qualities such as patience, gratitude, forgiveness, and humility.
Ninth Commandment: The Muslim should avoid excessive indulgence in worldly pleasures and luxuries. They should prioritize simplicity, contentment, and detachment from material possessions. They should strive to live a life of moderation and moderation, focusing on the eternal rewards of the Hereafter.
Tenth Commandment: The Muslim should strive to be in the company of righteous people, seeking their guidance, knowledge, and wisdom. They should distance themselves from evil companionship and negative influences that lead them away from the path of righteousness.
These are the ten commandments that I have selected based on my reflections on the meanings of Allah˝s Book, the Sunnah of His Messenger, the wisdom of our scholars, and the signs of our Lord in His creation. May Allah grant their benefit to every Muslim who seeks to rectify their own state and that of others.

˝Ten Commandments for SelfPurification˝ (Written by Khawdim Din Rabbih Abi alHasan Hisham alMahjubi alMarrakeshi)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon the Master of all worlds, and upon his family and companions, all of them. And now:
Know that the knowledge of selfpurification is a practical science that is essential for every Muslim. It is dedicated to purifying the soul and heart from diseases and vices that prevent one from attaining closeness to Allah and reaching the highest ranks with Him. Allah, the Exalted, says, ˝Indeed successful is the one who purifies it (the soul), and indeed failure is the one who corrupts it.˝ He also says, ˝Do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected the Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children, but only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.˝ This is achieved through the practical application of the verses of the Noble Qur˝an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah.
And whoever migrates for worldly gain or to marry a woman, his migration is for what he migrated for.˝
Second Commandment: The seeker of knowledge should strike a balance between the sciences of the external knowledge and the science of selfpurification. If they neglect the latter, their heart will harden, and they will be afflicted with arrogance, pride, envy, love of leadership, and seeking fame. The sciences of the external knowledge are meant to correct the understanding of the religion, while the science of selfpurification is meant to rectify the relationship between the servant and their Lord.
Seventh Commandment: The Muslim should be generous, noble, serving, beneficial, and wellmannered towards others.
